#1. Here’s one reason why people seek me out. The truth is, my clients are already doing big things in the world. They’re managing impact projects. They’re leading teams. They’re badasses in their own zone of genius. But it feels like something is missing or misaligned.

My clients have attachment injury from early adolescence or challenging experiences in life, and as a result, have insecure attachment strategies that activate throughout their adult lives. Maybe there’s a deep fear of abandonment that lies beneath decisions, relationship dynamics and daily life actions. Maybe there’s a painful perfectionism, procrastination, corroded self-worth or hyper vigilance that negatively impacts your career, relationships and access to your creativity. Or maybe there’s a fear of intimacy that’s stunted one’s ability to engage in relationships of depth, alignment and mutual reciprocal support (or drives them into dysfunctional relationships that eat up a lot of energy).

My clients are interested in developing more self-mastery around attachment, gaining clarity about their attachment style and tendencies, as well as learning the core pillars of secure attachment and how to earn secure attachment through meditative strategies, behavioral changes and interpersonal strategies.

Why heal attachment? Insecure attachment strategies can inhibit our ability to explore what’s most meaningful in life, and it can stunt our capacity to development meaningful, reciprocally supportive relationships. Life can feel small, safe and dissatisfying within these conditions.

I help my clients go after what’s most meaningful to them, and cultivate the safe haven, self-worth and interpersonal skill sets to resiliently take meaningful risks in life.

Impact makers and creatives are inevitably going toward their growth edge, facing challenges and paving new paths. Contending with this kind of change and exploration can be emotionally disregulating, leading to burnout, stalling out and freezing up. This reality necessitates that they have strong well-being practices, healthy tools for emotional self-regulation and co-regulation, and consistent clarity-development practices in place. That next level and sustainable engagement with one’s growth edge requires compassionate, effective and holistic strategies. Otherwise, people burn out, stall out or go back to what’s safe (and less meaningful).

ANXIETY, ANGER, FEAR, RESENTMENT…

You do awesome work in the world, and maybe you’re even leading up teams and big efforts to support brands and impact. With big work comes the necessity to know how to emotionally regulate yourself. When emotions arise throughout your day, do you suppress them, or do you know how to process them completely? I help my clients learn how to emotionally self-regulate and co-regulate, so that they can be most skillful in the world and relieve as much suffering as possible.

 

CHASING DOWN RELIEF

And, in order to slow the thinking or get away from yourself, you do things like: have a glass of wine, binge Netflix, scroll through your Instagram feed, embrace workaholism (I’m just your normal Type A!), chase adrenaline, drama bond with your coworkers, or [insert maladaptive coping mechanism here]. You find yourself taking refuge in some solutions outside of yourself (that are short-term and maybe on the lower vibration side of things…)

REACTION VS. RESPONSE

Are you triggered by certain situations or people in life, and no matter what intention you set, you can’t seem to figure out how to RESPOND skillfully in those moments? You react, say some things that you maybe regret, and now you’re in a shame spiral and chasing apologies… rinse and repeat. I help my clients create SPACE between that inner reaction and the response, so that you can live intentionally and with integrity.

 

SURFACE LEVEL SPIRITUALITY

You know that mindfulness is the answer! And you listen to guided meditations sometimes when you can squeeze it into your schedule. But you find that you’re still feeling anxious regularly, you still feel caught in thinking. Maybe you find that your practice feels really distracted or aimless, like you’re doing something, but you have no idea what skills it’s cultivating inside of you, or when to expect results from your practice. You’re missing context and a framework!

THINKING SPIRAL

Do you live predominantly in your head? For many creatives, innovators and leaders, thinking is their superpower! But it can become imbalanced and painful. Perhaps thinking runs the show, the moment you wake up, to the moment your eyes shut at night. Compulsive thoughts. Ruminating about a work project. Maybe you wake UP working (in your head) in the morning! It’s exhausting. I help my clients work with thinking and relieve the underlying emotions (so that they can be more present, easeful and feel safe.)

Your ideas and innovation are low in quality, but your work and your creative life call for stronger muscles in that area!   • Attachment theory is a psychological framework that makes sense of the ways in which you orient toward yourself and to the world (interpersonally). In theory, your attachment strategies as an adult may be determined by the way your caregivers (or important attachment figures) oriented toward you in early development. Attachment is adaptive and malleable. It also can have a significant impact on our ability to be authentic with others, to go after our passions, to explore what’s most meaningful to us, to be willing to get our needs met in life, and to enjoy reciprocally meaningful relationships. I support clients in coming to understand the tenets of secure and non-secure attachment styles, so that they can move through the world with more awareness and skill. I also share ways to approach the healing of one’s attachment strategies to ultimately develop earned security and expand one’s capacity to explore what’s most meaningful to them.

  • Systems and workflows are the lifeblood of any sustainable endeavors. I provide my clients with effective, proven workflows, project management systems, my go-to platform/app recommendations, self-evaluation systems, and more (to support both personal and professional endeavors). What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is an awareness and a practice. The practice is comprised of techniques that anchor your attention in the present moment (which you can perform while sitting with your eyes closed or even while you’re going about the activities of your day). In practicing, you are cultivating concentration, sensory clarity and equanimity (the core attentional skills that elevate the quality of your focus, performance, capacity to connect, creativity and more). I support my clients with integrating mindfulness strategies into their daily life in ways that work for them and that support their specific goals, powered by the Unified Mindfulness system as well as an attachment-healing meditative approach. I am a mindfulness coach, business coach and marketing consultant for creative, trailblazing, purpose-driven individuals and brands. I am founder of The Mindful Nest, Co-Founder of Being Resilient, Editor-in-Chief of PersonalBrand.com, and co-founder of Recovery Dharma.

With over 15 years of mindfulness practice and deep knowledge across multiple psycho-spiritual frameworks including Attachment Theory and High Performance studies, I support people in elevating their lives holistically.

I hold a Masters degree in Critical Studies from USC School of Cinematic Arts, and now apply critical analysis, deconstruction and theory to the human inner system + consciousness (within my mindfulness-based life coaching approach).

I offer a unique fusion in my approach to the intersection of mindfulness and business, with over 15 years of meditation under my belt, and experience leading business and marketing efforts in major personal development and wellness brands. My experience in business and the personal development helps me work effectively with professionals and creatives who are interested in psycho-spiritual approaches to deepening fulfillment, authenticity and interpersonal dynamics.
